Ambassador MATSUMOTO met with Prime Minister Sudani

On 19 August, Ambassador Futoshi MATSUMOTO had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, and had a discussion on bilateral cooperation and regional situation. During the meeting, Ambassador MATSUMOTO briefed progress of work at Basra FCC refinery being constructed with Japanese assistance, stressing the importance of Japanese Yen Loans projects and the other projects implemented by Japanese companies. The Ambassador also applauded positive and constructive role played by the Government of Iraq for ensuring regional peace and stability.
