On October 19, Ambassador Futoshi Matsumoto had the honor of visiting the "al-Olaa Primary and Secondary Schools," established by the Japanese NGO "IVY" in Erbil. These schools are a beacon of hope for over 1000 Iraqi students who were forced to flee their homes in Nineveh and Anbar due to Daesh.
Today, these resilient young minds are learning in accordance with the Iraqi education curriculum, thanks to the cooperation of the KRG and the Iraqi Federal Government.
Ambassador hoped that students will not only excel academically but also serve as a bridge, strengthening ties between Kurdistan and the rest of Iraq in the future.
